Concepts for our bottle cleaning machines
Drive concept
- Consistent use of single shaft drives (every driven shaft has an own geared motor and, if necessary, an own frequency converter).
- The conveyor chain of machines of the GEK series is driven twice, and that of machines of the GEL and GE series three times.
- The chain tension is monitored by sensing the strain acting on the single drives (tensioning of the chain by adjustment of the rear main drive using the automatic chain tensioning programme).
- Bottle conveyors (infeed, discharge and sorting table) are controlled in dependence on assortment and capacity in order to ensure constant behaviour in particular on the sorting table.
Spraying system
- The inside spraying station of our machines is equipped exclusively with rotary tubes. The known features, such as bottle tracking by the spraying jet, and the self-cleaning effect are implemented in our machines, too. We have redesigned the existing rotary tube system and use spraying tubes with inclined nozzle channels in combination with the onventional rotary tube spraying system.
- This creates an oscillating flow within the bottle, and above all the wall and the edge of the bottom of the bottle are flushed out horoughly all over. As an option, we offer the rotary tube spraying system also for external spraying. In using this system, the self-cleaning effect makes a positive contribution to improving operational reliability and reducing maintenance work.
Label separator
- Based on many years of experience, we have designed the label separator as a multistage system. The first separation stage is the underwater surge after approx. 60% of the time the bottles are submerged in the lye bath. On this stage, the lye flows around the bottles and the separated labels are discharged.
- After the bottles have left the lye-soak bath, they are moved within the basket by a forward roller and, at the same time, water is poured onto them from a swivelling pipe. The circulated lye is filtered through a cross-over travelling screen. The labels are taken to the collecting basin by a rotating brush.
- The circulated lye is filtered through a transverse sieve belt. The labels are transported into the collection container by a rotating brush.
Disinfection of head section
- The ARCADE bottle cleaning machines are equipped by default with a head section disinfection system. This system is used for a mechanical coarse cleaning and, above all, for the disinfection of the head section and the fresh or cold water spraying section.
- For this purpose, a disinfectant is prepared in the cold-water tank and then sprayed at intervals through several spraying tubes. This disinfecting system can be extended optionally to take effect also in other spray and the pre-soak zones.
Control / electrical equipment
- Control by SIMATIC-S7
- Operation via colour touch panel (in swivelling VA control panel – to be fastened either on the left or on the right side)
- Reading of all parameters such as temperatures, master values, pressures, filling levels and statistical values
- Remote maintenance via telephone
- Stainless steel control cabinet, mounted to the machine housing
- Cable routing in VA wire mesh cable trays
- Illumination of infeed and discharge sections, as well as of the interior of the machine by means of fixed lamps
Energy saving
The bottle cleaning machines ARCADE are available in various options for saving energy. Especially the ARCADE GEL series offers the combination of different modules for a better utilisation of heat and drinking water:
- Insulation of the hot lye section
- 2-stage pre-soak zone
- Pre-soak bath (also for improving the hold-up time of the lye)
- Heat recovery between post-lye and pre-spraying/pre-soak zones
- Additional spraying zone (cold water 2), for better grading of the recooling process
